Caiden and Camden finished with fourth grade and first grade the day after Brittyn was born. Too bad it took weeks for us to get some Summer warmth! Grandma Dale was here until the fourth of July and Grandma and Grandpa Cook got here a few days before that. It was great having family around to help us adjust to our family of 5 kids.

For entertainment on the 4th of July we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. It turned out to be a beautiful day! I didn’t know if I should have my hopes too high for this zoo after having been to the zoos in southern California but we were not disappointed with the zoo here. I do feel bad for so many of the animals there that in their natural habitat would not experience anywhere near the amount of rainy and cloudy days that they get here in Seattle.
On the way home from Seattle we picked up some fireworks for the evening celebrations. If we had had any idea that we would see such a great show in every direction from our own front lawn without spending a penny we never wouldn’t have bought fireworks. At least we know for next year.
It was insanely loud with the firework booms bouncing off the houses so Brittyn enjoyed the fireworks by sleeping soundly inside the house.
